The character here is more fragmented, less intact — as if the system that generated it is breaking down. The marks around it are restless, overlapping, competing. The canvas feels like a moment of interference, a glitch rendered in physical material.
Benka's work has always been about the space between authentication and anonymity. The CAPTCHA is supposed to prove you are human. But in his hands, it becomes something else — a sign that has slipped its meaning, a code that no longer decodes. His practice draws on his training as a musician and clinical psychologist, but the work itself resists explanation. It asks to be felt first.
At 190 × 160 cm, this is one of the largest works in the series. The scale amplifies the tension between the digital source and the physical surface.
